As we celebrate and travel, South Africa’s emergency rooms experience one of their busiest times, dealing with everything from road accidents to water-related injuries and food poisoning. 

The Road Traffic Management Corporation reports that over 1400 road fatalities occur in December annually. Coupled with increased incidents like near drownings and alcohol-related injuries, the need for public awareness about emergency care has never been greater.
