The City of Cape Town has promised to open a 300-bed “Safe Space” for homeless in Green Point this winter. An opinion piece written by Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis last month in the Daily Maverick says as much. So, with the cold weather now upon us, when exactly will the safe space be opening?
