Artificial intelligence (AI) is here to stay, with 68% of South African Generation Z (Gen Z) employees believing it will have a positive impact on the world of work. This insight comes from a new white paper released by the Top Employers Institute. Given that they will be the largest generation in the workforce by 2035, Gen Z continues to redefine the workplace through AI thus forcing businesses to adapt. According to the white paper, in South Africa, 64.5% of respondents believe that AI technology will enhance their career prospects. Additionally, 82% think it will help them acquire new skills, 70% feel it would boost their efficiency, and 58.5% are confident that AI will create new work opportunities. Furthermore, 73.5% expressed that AI would support a better work-life balance. Karen Muller, Africa Client Success Advisor at the Top Employers Institute weighs in now.
