A shock judgement in the Gqeberha High Court saw Timothy Omotoso and his co-accused acquitted on all charges.

The televangelist pastor faced charges of racketeering, trafficking in persons, rape, and sexual assault.

Judge Irma Schoeman says no thought was put into the cross-examination of the accused, and heavily criticised the prosecution team and the NPA for how they handled this case.

“To hear that everything that the witnesses had told the court has now resulted in the acquittal of the charges against the trio was shocking,’ says Siphosethu Booi, who was following the case.
