Clement Manyathela speaks to James Ndebele, the lawyer for Brigadier Dineo Mokwele, who says he will be applying for a stay of prosecution to stop entirely the prosecution of his client. Mokwele, Crime Intelligence Head Dumisani Khumalo and others have had their matter provisionally withdrawn by the NPA. The matter relates to the alleged irregular appointment of Mokwele, allegedly found by IDAC. The NPA’s Kaizer Kganyago clarifies why the state prosecutor has only provisionally withdrawn the matter and not fully.
