Tim May is livid about the Frederick County Government

View descriptionShare

🔥 “I HAVE NEVER IN FREDERICK COUNTY’S HISTORY SEEN SUCH CORRUPT GOVERNMENT.”

Tim May did not hold back on Mid-Maryland Live on 930 WFMD while discussing Frederick County Executive Jessica Fitzwater’s announcement of $110 million in developer-funded benefits for residents of Adamstown.

Tim’s biggest issue isn’t simply the money — it’s the timing and transparency surrounding the announcement.

Tim argued that Fitzwater and county officials knew about this funding well before it was publicly announced, but residents are only learning the details now, when he says there is little opportunity left to challenge or influence what is happening.

And with an election approaching, Tim questioned the timing of announcing $110 million in community benefits, arguing that revealing it now could help generate goodwill among residents after months of controversy surrounding development and data centers.

📞 Maryland State Senator Bill Folden joined the show by phone and backed up Tim’s concerns, discussing why he believes this type of overlay is toxic for the community and why residents deserve greater transparency about decisions with such a major impact on Frederick County.

For Tim, this comes down to transparency, accountability and trust in local government. If decisions are being made and agreements are being negotiated behind the scenes, he believes residents deserve to know about them before it’s too late to have a meaningful voice.
