Normalised, systemic corruption in South Africa has become deeply entrenched across public and private sectors, and society at large. It has evolved from grand-scale looting to "everyday" bribery, nepotism, and patronage in our everyday lives. This normalisation of corruption has resulted in public apathy, a breakdown in service delivery, and a culture where corruption is viewed as unavoidable and a normal way of life in the country.
