Small businesses are already under pressure as rising fuel prices, food costs and operating expenses eat into their profits. For many entrepreneurs, there is very little room to absorb another financial
shock. A break-in, stolen equipment, damaged stock or even a few days of forced closure could threaten the survival of a business that is already struggling to stay afloat but when every rand counts, what should business owners prioritise? Is insurance an unnecessary expense when cash flow is tight, or could cutting back on protection leave a business exposed to even greater financial losses? We speak to Junior Mlondobuzi, founder of Entresure, about the risks facing small businesses, the cost of being unprepared and the practical steps entrepreneurs can take to protect their livelihoods
in an increasingly expensive operating environment.
