The renowned DJ Cassidy is back to check in with the KDAY Morning Show co-hosts to celebrate his latest "Pass The Mic" holiday special in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Soul Train Awards.
Speaking with Cece and Romeo, Cassidy speaks on his BET feature which is a special edition centered around the pivotal cultural moments and sounds of the 1975-1985 era. While Cassidy boasts that the upcoming episode is only the eighth installment, he shares that he's now passed the mic to a total of 190 legendary artists.
DJ Cassidy shares with Cece and Romeo that he's tirelessly worked to get Charlie Wilson to be a part of the iconic show and the legendary performer will finally appear during the Soul Tain installment, as well as the incomparable Stephanie Mills.
Cassidy also reveals that he will be bringing hip-hop's first two superstars Kurtis Blow and Melle Mel to the forefront of the show.
