The legal team representing the 45th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, is scheduled to hold a meeting with special counsel Jack Smith on Thursday.

There is growing anticipation of another indictment against Trump, this time related to his efforts to uncover irregularities in the 2020 election. According to The New York Times, federal prosecutors working under Smith's guidance are making progress towards possibly indicting Trump.

This stems from his actions leading up to and on January 6th, as well as his subsequent statements regarding the election.

Earlier this morning, Trump's attorneys arrived at Mr. Smith's offices in Washington D.C., as reported by ABC News. It is noteworthy to mention that President Trump received a 'target letter' on July 16th, which indicated the likelihood of him facing charges.

The investigation, led by Smith, focuses on allegations of 'election interference.' In response, Trump expressed his concerns on Truth Social, stating that he received 'horrifying news for our Country' from his attorneys.

"So now, Joe Biden's Attorney General, Merrick Garland, who I turned down from the United States Supreme Court (in retrospect, based on his corrupt and unethical actions, a very wise decision!), together with Joe Biden's Department of Injustice, have effectively issued a third Indictment and Arrest of Joe Biden's NUMBER ONE POLITICAL OPPONENT, who is largely dominating him in the race for the Presidency. Nothing like this has ever happened in our country before or even close," Trump wrote.
