Baio cited numbers from the article which stated, 'the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority found approximately 69,000 people experiencing homelessness in L.A. County and 41,000 in the city in 2022.'

Baio's tweet received a mixture of reactions from various individuals. One person mocked his departure by saying, 'I’m sure they’ll miss such an important right wing shill like you.' As an outspoken conservative, Baio replied, 'Maybe not, but they’ll certainly miss the high taxes I pay!' Another individual tweeted about the homelessness issue, stating, 'no reason to live in a city where there’s homeless people.'

In response to this tweet, Baio conveyed his concerns over property values and safety, saying, 'This brings down property value. Also no consequences for crime that is rampant, making things higher in price and it’s just not a safe place anymore. #Im ree.' Baio currently resides in Woodland Hills, California, an area included in the crime statistics of Los Angeles. According to CNN affiliate KABC in Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Police Department reports that overall violent crime in the city has decreased by 3% when compared to 2019.
