The Republican presidential primary for 2024 is officially underway and it already seems like an exciting race. On Saturday, eight contenders (minus Trump) participated in Iowa Senator Joni Ernst's "Roast and Ride" event, a fun mix of rally and motorcycle ride. During the event, a young pastor offered a prayer from the back of a pickup truck outside a yellow barn that was largely owned by Harley-Davidson and the bikers showed their reverence by placing their caps over their hearts. Although Mike Pence is the only one who took part in the charity parade, the governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, conversed with voters and shook hands, giving autographs and signing the Bible of a man who thanked him for "standing up to Disney"
