This weeks podcast we partnered with The Racial Equity Committee to host a special episode of Mercy MavCast in honor of National Day of Racial Healing. The event looked into the current school book ban in the United States, which affects over 5,000 schools from 138 districts across 32 states, totaling nearly 4 million students. Books by BIPOC authors, featuring BIPOC protagonists, and highlighting racism are increasingly being added to the list of prohibited books.
