The 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 stashed inside a barn in southern Wisconsin never disappeared into thin air, never set a parking lot afire with flaming tire tracks and never reappeared from nowhere coated in ice. 

“It was literally sinking into the earth of this gravel floor barn, untouched for years,” said Michael McElhattan, owner of DeLorean Midwest in Crystal Lake, Ill., which works exclusively on DeLoreans.
