Police departments across America are facing personnel shortages and now offering big sing on bonuses and other incentives to join their departments.  The pendulum to "defund the police"  is beginning to swing the other way.

Chris Stone,  Director of State and Local Affairs at Gun Owners of America discussed the lawsuit filed this week against the City of Memphis and Interim Police Chief CJ Davis.  Local lawmakers and the city attorney say it's just a "trigger law," but the ordinance as drafted and what was adopted by the voters says no such thing...rather it says takes effect January 1.

Shelby County Sheriff Floyd Bonner on Memphis Morning News describes the county jail problems and the lack of funding approved by Shelby County Commission to fix those differed repair and maintenance problems. It is the commission's legal responsibility to provided the funding necessary to keep the jail maintained and structurally safe.  Sheriff Bonner's budget was cut last year and the consequences of "defunding the police" comes in many different shapes and citizens of Shelby County are now at further risk due to the conditions at 201.

The citizenship question on the census was removed by the Obama administration.  By counting illegal aliens in the United States census, it effects the determination of electoral college votes.
