A Mediaweek first – a podcast with an elected official. Seven News and sport presenter and commentator Basil Zempilas has pulled back on his major TV and radio commitments since his election. Now he is about to stand for a second term as Mayor of Perth. Mediaweek's James Manning visited Zempilas in his City of Perth office high above the Swan River. He talked about his career path and its sudden swing out of media. He also speaks about working for Seven in Sydney where there was plenty of speculation he would replace David Koch on Sunrise. That didn't happen, but what are his plans in the media for the next few years?
