The Newo Yotina Friendship Centre in Regina  re-openned last June after a fire caused some water, smoke, and soot damage to the building.

The centre runs 23 different programs to serve urban Indigenous people that are living in Regina.

Some of those services include housing assistance, a warm-up shelter, cultural and language programs, and Elder support.

MBC News caught up with   Executive Director Teresa Innis and discuss the need for services being provided at the Newo Yotina Friendship Centre.
