The provincial government recently provided an investment aiming to increase Indigenous involvement in the natural resource sector.

The government announced a $400,000 investment into the Saskatchewan First Nations Natural Resource Centre of Excellence.

Here is Delbert Wapass, board member of the Centre of Excellence and chief of Thunderchild First Nation, speaking at an event announcing the funding on English River First Nation urban reserve land in Saskatoon.

A book created by La Loche community members is set to released May 10

The book titled Dene Strong, Volume two highlights Dene stories, culture and traditions. 

The first volume of the book was released in 2022 and both books were created with the support of the Dene High School in La  Loche. 

Project manager of Dene Strong , Shane Janvier spoke with MBC about Dene Strong.
