The Saskatchewan Heath Authority is sending a reminder to northerners to update their COVID 19 vaccinations.

The SHA says although COVID 19 case numbers are down from the pandemic, they are still seeing cases pop up in the north.

Dr. David Edward-Ooi Poon, the medical heath officer for northern medical services with SHA spoke with MBC about COVID vaccinations.

The new Chief of Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation hope's to make more headway with the bands Agriculture Bennifits Claim and address violence in communities.

Peter A. Beatty won last week's election (April 10) with 969 votes. He also served as Chief of the Cree nation from 2013 to 2021. 

Beatty spoke with MBC about the main things he wants to focus on during his term as Chief.
