People from various organizations are looking to help Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation and the community of Pelican Narrows.

Pelican Narrows recently declared a local state of emergency due to a string of violent incidents in the community.

Recently a special meeting was held which allowed residents to voice their concerns to the First Nation's leadership along with people from various other agencies.

Among the leaders present at the meeting was Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations Fourth Vice Chief Craig McCallum, who spoke to those in attendance at the meeting.
