The leadership of Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation is putting out a public call for help.

The First Nation recently held a media conference in Prince Albert where they called on the federal and provincial governments to provide them support to help deal with the dangerous situation in Pelican Narrows, which has led to a state of emergency being declared in that community due to violence and crime.

At the media conference, PBCN Chief Karen Bird spoke about the situation in the community and the help that is needed.
