A Traditional Knowledge Keepers Gathering for Lac La Ronge Indian Band Members was held in Prince Albert April 16-18.

The gathering focused on Bill-C92, which was introduced in 2019 and allows Indigenous communities to develop their own child and family services policies and laws. 

The band is seeking input from elders, knowledge keepers and members so that they can build their own legislation.

Chief of LLRIB, Tammy Cook-Searson spoke with MBC about the gathering and the development of their legislation.
