There was controversy after the recent BAFTA Awards, after a guest with Tourette's syndrome shouted racial slurs when two black actors went on stage.
John Davidson, whose life story inspired the film I Swear, used obscene language when Michael B Jordan and Delroy Lindo presented the first award of the night.
Emma Henderson from the Tourette’s Association of New Zealand explained the realities of the condition further.
