International rugby referee Ben O’Keeffe's spent years playing a key role in the sport - and he's seen the best and the worst the game's had to offer.

Referee abuse and poor sideline behaviour are long-standing issues in New Zealand sport, and O’Keeffe says it's one of the tougher parts of the role. 

He joined the Afternoons team to explain further.
