Mornings with Matt and Bob

This morning Matt has a bone to pick with one of the valet guys and their managers as they downplay the fact that they broke Matts wife car window controller. Next we get into Pixar’s new movie “Hopper”, ZYN pouches, and Bob potentially wanting to try THC drinks to be a bit happier. Then we have Travis Holp who is a median which is an individual believed to act as an intermediary, communicating with sprits of the deceased or other non-physical entities. He joins us in the station to talk about his upcoming show at Cap City tonight. Travis also gives a reading to Bob, Rosa, and one of our listeners. After we have Drew pop in to talk about ghosts.

This morning Chuy is out, and Sawyer is in taking control of the board.  Matt brings up a story about AI medical chat bots recommending people to shove garlic in their rectum. Then we get into SXSW dying, is it trying the end or does Austin not like helping their own community. Next Bob and intern Celeste gets into Netflix’s new show “Age of Attraction” . After Matt heads out early and intern Celeste takes over by hosting a contest for Bob to see if he can guess where these pop culture movie quotes come from.

Bob rolls in late before Click Click Boom with Matt talking Austin's best sandwiches. Intern Hailee explains the hair signals some girls use, which quickly turns into a very honest masturbation conversation with the guys. Chuy also announces a big trip he's going on. Later, author Daniel Bukszpan joins to talk about his book & some rock history, plus we give away AC/DC tickets &Intern Hailee reveals her #2 movie pick

This morning was a rocky one. Matt and Bob walked into the studio this morning and noticed a situation in the parking lot. This led to the two having a bit of a squabble about what truly happened. Next Matt thinks about getting rid of his car. Unfortunately, the cat hasn’t been acting like himself recently leading him to needing to go to the vet. Matt is then shocked by the cost, causing him to think about getting rid of him. Then our intern Celeste brings up the topic of hard launching and soft launching. This gets everyone getting TOXIC as our toxic avenger brings up Netflix’s new show “Age of Attraction” which shows men and women of drastically different ages dating for potential marriage. After we end off the show with Jams with Dennis Rodmen, men on Reddit showing off their rooms, and Ubers new women only option.

It's a pretty mellow one today. We kick things off with Click Click Boom, then roll into Rock & Roll News & Talk about the latest Daylight Saving time changes. From there the guys get into a wild idea, what if the show was broadcast from a boat? Later, Matthew from Austin American-Stateman stops by to talk about some of the best restaurants in Austin where you can eat for under $20

This morning the guys recap yesterday’s lunch with Kandace Medina at Long John Silver. Then as Matt gets into CLICK CLICK BOOM they chat about dramedy M*A*S*H. Next Matt shows the guys an article about the retail store Target and how they plan on making some big changes to bring back customers. Then the guys have a surprise for our interns Hailee and Celeste where they play a game called “Clock It”. After we have book author of “Original Sin Is A Lie” Bob Peck joins us at the station to talk about his book and have a spiritual conversation with Bob Fonseca.

This morning the guys touch on a bit about what’s been going on in the real world with wars, then they get into a report about what it takes to be classified as middle class in Austin. Next the guys get into what job they would have after getting fired from KLBJ and ask the listeners what their new jobs would be. After we have local Austin comedian Kandace Medina (@chunkerknugget on Instagram) joins us for a great conversation about her show “BANANA PHONE!”, whales, and a bit of a heated argument with Chuy.

Bob starts the show with a therapy update, then we dive into the T-Shirt contest & judge a fresh design. Matt's bizarre radio dream sparks a wave of listener calls pitching new segments (& reviving old ones). We're joined by @djlefty to talk hidden Austin gems, then CJ from Anchor Bar rolls in with wings, the origin story of the Buffalo wing, and a tease of a new flavor. We close it our with Hailee's next Top 4 movie pick. Fast, funny, & fueled by hot sauce 

Today Bob shows the guys some love because deep down he truly loves the guys. He just doesn’t like admitting it. Bob brings in a very nice hat for Chuy to try on for him to use at the George Strait concert. Next things get TOXIC and our toxic avenger poses the question “does the power dynamic change if the woman owns the house or the man?”. After we get into jams of the day were the guys react to the CEO of McDonald’s trying their new burger.

Today the guys break down some of the Austin news from the weekend, then announce the station's T-Shirt design contest that you the listeners can design and share what kind of designs they're hoping to see. They also get into the 290 bridge gap conversation before wrapping things up with a round of "Do You Know Your Meats?', quizzing a few ladies for a chance to win Journey tickets.

This morning the guys get into a conversation on how they got into radio specifically how they “lucked” into the roles that they have today. Then during the break, the guys are looking at threads post and notice the profile pic of a woman claiming to be in her 60’s/70’s and she looks a little younger than she claims to be. This gets the guys talking about age, looks, and if Sawyer is satisfied with his current life compared to NASCAR driver Christopher Bell. Then we have Dean Stanfield join the guys in the studio, talking about his upcoming show at Capcity and what he’s been up to recently. Next Sawyer tells his story about how he got riled up that he needed to call Matt. Lastly, we have a head to head competition for AC/DC and Eagles tickets.

Today we start off the morning talking about trashy reality tv specifically love is blind and then Chuy brings up a new show on HBO Max titled “Neighbors”. Then Matt joins us after dealing with a number 1 in the number 2 slot due to side effects from his gout medication. Net we have a speedy interview with NASCAR driver Christopher Bell, where Matt and our race car fanatic Sawyer take lead.

Today the guys kick things off discussing the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominees, before Matt randomly dives into the average size of a wiener. Intern Hailee shares her favorite movies, which somehow sparks Bob's hot take about Steven Spielberg. To wrap things up, guests from SXSW stop by to talk about how to volunteer, what it's like behind the scenes, and what to expect at this year's festival

This Tuesday morning Matt talks about his foot, he’s been having some issues with it for a while and last night it was giving him some trouble. We get into CLICK CLICK BOOOM, where Matt talks about jobs that used to be high paying back in the day. Next we get into Texas BBQ possibly being the thing of the past now due to economical changes. Then we get into “what are some things of the past that we thought weren't going away but now are”. After things get TOXIC in the studio as our toxic avenger brings up the controversial BAFTA situation between John Davidson, Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo. 

We kick things off with Click Click Boom breaking down some president myths, then roll into Rock & Roll News. Chuy shares stories from his trip to Interstellar (and gives a BBQ Review), before we dive into Thick Headlines. We also recap the Winter Olympics, then get a little deeper with a conversation about life and death, and hear some thoughtful input from callers.

This morning today we are joined by an audience of 2! We start the morning talking about Soundcloud rappers. Matts daughter has been interested in this rapper named “Nettspend” and the guys react to it. Next the guys get into PUNCH the monkey in Japan. Then we talk about Burger King Japan’s new burger “big mouth white”. Then we have out special guest Dustin who works at Shadow Cats, who gave his spiel on the nonprofit that supports cats with leukemia. After that we had open calls where you the listeners call in and get to share or ask anything. Lastly Bob wanted to try a new way to give away tickets and well this contest speaks for itself.

Today Bob starts off the show with a little rant but even I (intern Celeste) am confused about what he was ranting about so Bob has not reached “unc” status. Then the guys get into a conversation about Chuy going to a wedding in Mexico and the guys try to warn him about not taking “flower” across the border. Next Sawyer gets a little upset about how he didn’t win a award in the office award ceremony. Lastly we had two people go head-to-head for Bruce Springsteen tickets!

After Thick Headlines, we dive into the mystery of the missing studio cameras, whether we belong on the internet, and just how addicted we are to our phones (screen time included). This week the guys return from Valentines weekend. The guys start off talking about the weird dreams that they’ve been having. Then they get into what they were up to during valentines. Next Matt brings up the question “do you miss social media”, Social media isn’t the same anymore its full of ads, AI slop, and useless internet discourse. Then things turn TOXIC and our toxic avenger talks about things that could be considered  micro-cheating.  

Today was a chill Friday for the guys. They get into a discussion about bob not liking Indian food after having a bad experience after Matt talks about a new Indian inspired restaurant. Next our audience of 1 and good friend of the show Jennifer joins us and surprises us with some gifts (thanks you Jennifer). Then we had open phone Friday where you the listeners were able to call in and ask the guys whatever you want.

Today the guys start off talking about the winter Olympics games and which sport they are looking forward to seeing. Next Matt asks the question “is it okay for children to curse” and how a majority of Americans view this. Then the radio towers started glitching and the guys had a interesting caller from a guy who was struck by lightning which then made the guys want to be struck by lightning. Then we had a interview with dietitian/diabetes expert Ashley who gave some good advice. Last we ended the show with intern Celeste hosting a Galenties trivia for Lionel Richie ticket giveaway.

The Guys kick things off with intros and Click Click Boom before ranking their top 5 Romantic Movies. From there it's Rock & Roll News, a heated debate on whether bananas are better brown or green, and a dive into some Thick Headlines. They also give away Lionel Richie tickets, and comedian Mick MacRae stops by to talk about his Valentine's weekend show, talk music, and what he's been working on. Oh! - and yes the Epstein files come up too.

Health is a big concern for the guys, as life is lifin the guys talk about how their health has been on the forefront of their mind. Matt asks the guys if they suspect if he could be on the autism spectrum. After stumbling across Instagram user @rich_pink_ content, Matt wonders if the guys have noticed some of these neurodivergent traits that are brought up in Rick Pinks content. Then things take a left swing and turn toxic, this weeks questions is ladies what do you expect for valentines day from your partner.

The guys kick things off by ranking their top 5 most "burning" super Bowls, then jump into some rock and roll news. Bob makes his case for why the app "Whatnot" is about to be huge before it's time for Super-Snore, a full recap of the Super Bowl game, the moments that dragged, and their takes on Bad Bunny's halftime show.

This morning was a wild one, the guys started with Chuy receiving a phone call from Manny saying that he’s going to protest the building. Next we get on to the finial hotdog Friday of the season. Bob sends sawyer 50 dollars to make one last good hotdog of the season and boy he doesn’t disappoint. Drew joins us in the studio for a little to chime in on things. Then Manny returns live on the phone and this time recruiting people off the streets to help protest the station but things go sideways.

Today Matt rejoins the guys after missing yesterday due to being sick but unfortunately still isn't having the best day. Intern Celeste tries to teach Bob some new slang to have him stayed tapped in with pop culture. Austin American Statesmen restaurant reporter Mathew Odam joins to tell us about the best local restaurants in Austin for Valentines day.   

Today's episode kicks off with HEB remodeling talk and some Valentine's Day discussion, before the guys share their thoughts on Manny being banned from the building. That leads to listeners calling in about things they'd ban themselves. Later on, two listeners go head-to-head in a Sting ticket trivia contest centered on professional women's sports, and guest Drew stops by to talk confessions

Today the guys encountered some technical difficulties, but the show must go on! It was a light day in the rock n roll and rock n roll jr. news. Now out in the real world a man in Kyle attacks kids while they are protesting outside their school. Then the conversation takes a turn of comedy being a dying art. After things, turn TOXIC! Chuy brings up a couple of topics like people not being interested in moving in with their romantic partner and when you’re breaking up/divorcing how long do you wait to tell your partner. Lastly as we get into the jams major business team up for some upcoming collabs. 

Today's episode covers a full range of topics, starting with a Grammys recap and some strong opinions. The guys also hear fan reactions to the last Hot Dog Friday, sharing their own thoughts along the way. Things get a little more personal as Matt and Chuy talk about their doctor experiences and bloodwork results, followed by tips and advice from fans and callers. A mix of fun, food, and real talk.

Today is audience of 100, where the guys have a live studio audience join in on the show and it is the last hotdog Friday of the season. Comedian Ian Fidance joins the guys today in the station bringing lots of laughs, talks about his upcoming show at cap city, and rock history.

Today the guys get a little freaky. Bob mentions that he's been getting some freaky videos on his Instagram reels. This causes Chuy to pull up his Instagram explorer and to show the guys what he likes to interact on his feed. Then Matt tells his story about how his daughter showed him the hot new dirty soda shop that has now opened up in the area. Then the guys get into facts of the day and get into a little debate about ear candling. 

Guest Drew sat in with the guys today as they checked out a fan-made jingle and talked about MrBeast coming to town to surprise an amputee kid with a new arm. They also got Jose on the phone to see if Matt is finally delivering that promised radio. Plus Jean talk, gym talk, and the debate on changing clothes when you get home, or wearing the same fit all day.

Today the guys are back after the ice storm. Everyone was able to make in today besides Bob, he got trapped at home. As the world was a bit crazy this past weekend the guys get a little political. Then the conversation turns toxic as Chuy asks the question of how women still find their men attractive while being in a long term relationship. After the guys have a chat with AEW wrestler Shelton Benjamin. 

Today with the guys its hot dog friday and audience of 1.... well audience of 2. Chuy accidentally double books an audience of as he didn't have his calendar prepared. New Braunfels local TikTok star "Swizey" joins the guys in the station to talk about his viral TikTok Austin rock station vs. San Antonio rock station. Matt brings in his former high school bully and now friend and owner of Pirate Pickle ATX, Jeremy talks about how his come up as a business owner and how he has navigated though difficulties. Jeremy also helps Matt with his creation of his hot dog. 

Today the guys trolled Bob while he presents rock n roll news being rebranding as "gallate". Matt tells a story about a bullying experience when he was in high school. Then the guys get into a discussion about movies that have been released this past year and talk about nominations for this years best picture for the Oscars.  

Things got real interesting today. The guys kicked off with some unexpected political talk before somehow spiraling into a discussion about penis stretches they might try (no promises). To wrap it all up, they're giving away tickets to see Chicago and Styx, It's chaotic, its honest and it's one episode you don't want to miss.

Today the guys celebrate hot dog Friday, its Chuy turn to cook up a one of a kind special. The long awaited reveal of the top gain has been revealed! The guys we also able to a wonderful conversation with Tom Gimbel who is the co-founder and executive director of the Hi, How Are You Project where they talk about their upcoming event Hi, How Are You Day and this weeks divisional rounds in the NFL, and Tom's experience within the music business.  

The Guys are still pushing though with topic of grains. Then they get into a discussion about how much money does one need to feel rich in Austin. A give away of Nine Inch Nails tickets that gets contestants thinking about different animal matting rituals. Followed by Sawyer talking about his experience at the bingo hall.  

Today we continue the riveting list of best grains. Then Bob pokes at Matt for his cooking abilities and love for his children. We also get list the Mt Rushmore of Grumpy Rockers. 

The guys talk about weather the guys should have interviews on the show, then we get toxic and ask women if it is shameful or embarrassing to propose to their man.
