The play by play voice of the BCHL Victoria Grizzlies, Tom Wilke joined my show, following their second round series win over the Cowichan Capitals Saturday night at the Q Centre in front of close to 1,100 fans.

Victoria scored with seven seconds remaining in the third period to break a 3-3 tie, to win it 4-3.

The Grizzlies are into the ­conference final for the first time since 2019, when ­Montreal Canadiens forward Alex Newhook captained the team. 

Victoria will face the top-seed Chilliwack Chiefs in the best-of-seven Coastal final beginning Friday night at the Chilliwack Coliseum. 

Games 3 and 4 will be at The Q! Centre on May 6th and 7th (Tues & Wed).

**Remember that all local youth 18 & under are free of charge when accompanied by an adult, limit of 2.

Grizzlies captain Jacksenn Hungle returned to the lineup Saturday after missing the previous four games with an injury.
