Morgan Klimchuk: 5-4 Loss At Seattle Saturday

View descriptionShare

The Victoria Royals come from behind efforts fell short Saturday night as they were edged 5-4 on the road by the Seattle Thunderbirds.

Down by 3 late in the third, the Royals struck for a pair to make things close.

Victoria got goal and assist nights from Nate Misskey and Dawson Pasternak, with singles coming form Deegan Kinniburgh and Tanner Scott. Robin Sapousek added a pair of helpers.

Brayden Holt came in relief stopping 12 of 13 fired his way, while Scott Ratzlaff picked up the split with 13 saves.

It was a physical game, which started late after a chaotic travel day for both clubs, and that spilled onto the ice with 3 fights.

Victoria was denied a 3rd straight win, while Seattle snapped a winless in 5 skid.

Up next a home date against Kelowna Monday afternoon at 3pm.
