Grains eased on profit taking, farmer selling, China tariffs and higher Brazil production estimates.  Milk saw a reversal off of new contract highs, while cattle had a big up day closing nearby live cattle above 100 day moving averages with a surge in wholesale beef pushing the markets along with lower corn.  Bryan Doherty, Total Farm Marketing, has analysis.

Markets Now Early Markets 5-14-24

Grains end higher led by wheat with continued crop concerns and fund short covering.  Live cattle lower despite the futures discount to cash, with feeders higher.  Hogs continued to consolidate on the futures premium to the Lean Hog Index.  Brian Grete, Pro Farmer, has details.
