That makes it super super important to optimize your site for low time. And one easy way to do it is use the host that Eric and I use, dream Hosts. So just go to dream host or google it, find it, check it out, and it's a great way to improve your low time. Today, we're going to talk about why video content is better than text content, even though Google prefers text. Yes, so everyone talks about a you need to create text content if you want to rank on Google, and that's true. And yes, Google's indexing podcasts. If you didn't know that, consider creating a podcast. And yes, the index videos as well, and they can decipher based on what we're saying. Like when we talk about SEO that this episode may be about SEO or content. But here's the thing. If you think about engagement, right, where's the engagement going? Who are people building up brand? Like if you look at Grant Cardon on Google trends or at least the last time I checked, did you know there's more searches for Grant Cardon than there is Neil Patel I get way more traffic than grand Cardon. Why is this? His content is more engaging. He's doing way more engaging video based content than I am, even Gary Vaynerchuk is. And you can build up a brand easier, both the corporate and personal brand through video content. People can better relate with video content connect with you emotionally. It's really hard to do that through text based you know, Harry Potter books are extremely popular. They did really well. When I talk to a lot of kids, kids who can read, a lot of these kids have read the Harry Potter books and they love the books, but they really get into it from the videos the movies, because it's easier for people to really connect and see than it is through just imagining by reading text based content. Not for everyone, but for a lot of people and you can see it, like if you look at like the Logan Pols or the Jake Paul's or a lot of these influencers. They're popular because of the video based content. You got to start creating video based content. Yes, Google perfers text for SEO, and I'm not saying text isn't popular. Sure there's a lot of people prefer reading books over watching videos, but the majority of people out there, their attention is going towards videos over text. And I bet you if you ask majority of the people down the street, I bet you most people spend more time watching TV ex Consuming videos than they do reading text or read a book. I don't know about you, but I've spent more time listening to audio now and watching stuff versus like I'll spend my time reading text on the weekends. I don't know how your behaviors, know enough. I'm probably the opposite of most people. I spend more time reading text than I do watching video. But that's just me. I've always been that way. I love reading articles, not really books as much, but I love reading articles and consuming so we're reversed. I like reading books more than articles. I'll save the articles for the weekend. So that's why you guys get diversity of thought here. So on the video side, actually even if you look at my content out, but there's the YouTube stuff, like our team's starting to starting to wramp up, like you know, the short form video as well. Neil has done the same thing too. It's just easier. It's you know, for when you're eating lunch or something, or when you're on the walk. It's just easier. And plus I use YouTube I think it's YouTube redd or whatever where I don't get any ads and I can listen to stuff when I close the app. So it just makes things easier. That's why a lot of people in the world, when you serve a kids, most of them the number one job is what do they want to do? Neil, they want to be in loans here these days, they want to be influenced. Our most influencers they have a YouTube following right Like for whatever reason, when you look at a Logan Paul and Jake Paul, they came from vine and they moved to YouTube, and Marcus Brown, Lee freaking mister Beast, all these people they're all YouTubers and so you know, at the end of the day, that's why YouTube owns the second largest search eage in the world where Google owns YouTube. So that is it for today, and if you want to get better at creating video content, we will make some episodes on that in the near future because we do a lot of that.
