Welcome to Marketing School, the only podcast that provides daily top level marketing tips and strategies from entrepreneurs that practice what they preach and live what they teach. Let's start leveling up your marketing knowledge with your instructors, Neil Patel and Eric Sue. All Right, guys, before we start, we got a special message from our sponsor. If you want to rank higher on Google, you got to look at your page speed time. The faster website loads, the better off you are with Google's Core Vital update. That makes it super super important to optimize your site for low time. And one easy way to do it is use the host that Eric and I use, dream Hosts. So just go to dream host or Google it, find it, check it out, and it's a great way to improve your low time. Today, we are going to talk about what all top marketers have in common. Yeah, So, the big thing that we see with top marketers is they experiment. Look, no one knows what's best for a business, even if they work for a competitor. They may have some ideas, but works for one competitor may not work for you. And the only way to continually improve is experiment. Top marketers don't believe that they know everything and they have the keys to the kingdom. Top marketers believe that you've got to continue experiment, push the limits, not in an unethical way, but just push the limits and try new things to figure out what's going to work the best in the long run. And this one kind of goes hand in hand with experimentation. But if you're not constantly asking questions and if you're not constantly learning, that's where you get your ideas for experimentation from. You know, Neil and I in addition to other entrepreneurs or marketers that we talk to, we're always sharing ideas. We're always talking about what's working, and then we'll take whatever we think that we can apply to our businesses and we just go ahead and apply and if it works, great, if not, we just kind of move on, right, So we don't hold anything too sacred. And if you're down with experimentation, that usually means you're open minded and you're not going to, you know, get too upset that if you're proven wrong, right, like, if Neil and I are proven wrong, we're happy to just say, Okay, we're wrong, and we move on. And most of your experiments aren't going to work anyway, so you're gonna end up growing a thick skin that way. But asking great questions, constantly learning, trying to get better, constantly experimenting. That's not only just what goes into a top marketer, but a lot of the top marketers that we've seen. Eventually, you keep doing this for a while, you eventually become a top entrepreneur. Yeah, and look, the best way to crack than that on growth is experiment because no one really hasn't answered what worked years ago may not work today. Yep. So here's the thing. I'm gonna give a couple of ways. I mean, obviously you could listen to this podcast, right, but there are a lot of great other marketing podcasts out there. There's a great one called the State of Demand gen. There's like a brand Just search for the Brand marketing podcast. You'll find that one as well, and you can go with those. And in addition to that, there are a handful of newsletters marketing brew. You can read that one stacked marketer is not bad and yeah, it's on you to get better. Oh Wall Street Journal, CMO. I like reading that from time to time as well. Neil, you have any thoughts on those, No, I think you pretty mission nailed them. All right, that's it for today, but don't forget to text us again. We're bringing that back. So three one oh three four nine three seven eight five. Neil's adding that to his phone right now. Three one oh three four nine three seven eight five, and we'll catch you later. We appreciate you joining us for this session of Marketing School.
