All right, so we are going to talk about the secrets behind the new X algorithm, also formally known as Twitter. So, Neil, do you know some of the key takeaways from a new algorithm or no, No, I do not, Okay, I do know that they're changing up a feature right now where you can't walk people from seeing your tweets. I don't know what they're gonna call tweets now, but they called posts. They're gonna call what tweets are called posts now, feats are called post now. But yeah, so the main thing I read is and there's a lot of things I have not read about. One of the things I did read was they're gonna make it where if you if someone was blocked, they can still see your tweets now, yeah, we're your posts. So one thing I'll flag is my friend Amon, who used to run a company called app Sumo. He posted something in a chat that we're in And basically, do you know the difference between a like and a reply, Neil, like the difference in engagement? No, but a reply is much more than a like by correct. Yeah, So basically a like is only the points. Let's say it's a point system, right, the points that you'll get from a like would be zero point five points, right, like half a point. Now if it's a reply, you get thirteen point five points, which is like a twenty seven times difference. That makes sense. Yeah, Well, the reason being is one is very easy to do. One takes a lot of effort. But that's the same with any platforms. I don't know what else that they ended up prevailing because I ended up reading the article or wherever they end up breaking. Let me show you. I will show you this our friend over here Tibo. I spent twenty hours going through thirteen thousand lines of altered codes, so you don't have to hear the golden nuggets. So we're not going to read all of this. You can find it yourself. This tweet got two point sorry posts got two point three million views, and so X number one X doesn't want to show duplicate conversations in the feed, so when you reply and retweet, your reply will be given priority too shown in other's feed. So that's the first one I was talking about. Replies are greater than retweets, So that makes a lot of sense. So you should basically, whenever you're reposting, you should be adding some context to it so it looks a little more original because it is Number two X wants more creator to launch the descriptions. So if you're eligible to become subscriber content creator, don't push your content. Switch your account to creator type just in case. Number three X now categorizes text and image posts differently. Image tweets get boosted, so use more media in your posts than threads. Three to four images can boost to reach. I'm actually going to scroll to the bottom, Neil, because there's just this guy summarizes it, I believe. So what gets boosted? Do more of this replies and engagement bookmark worthy posts and I saw this last week. I posted a full two hour interview with Alex Ramosi and that got like seven or eight hundred bookmarks on it, and it basically got I think, what, one hundred thousand views, which is pretty decent post on trending on popular topics, rich media images, videos gifts content because you can see even with Elon, he's like going to mister Beach, She's like, hey, you should post a video on this thing. Right, He's trying to make sure that X is this everything app right well. Performing tweets will stay longer on the feed forty eight hours. Subscription eligible creators get a boost and then finally we can cap it off with this what gets the boosted? Do this out of network content. Like competitor mentioned, you are also like YouTube, for example, content that doesn't resonate with your current followers and retweets on posts that you've commented on. You know, it's funny. It doesn't matter if they break down their algorithm, or any other social network breaks down their algorithm. It's all the same in which the stuff that requires users to take more action, like leave a comment, is always going to be more valuable than a like. And if you keep posting content that your followers don't want to like, or that they don't engage with or they don't like, they're going to start suppressing how many people see your content. Because if your followers don't like you, then you're kind of out of luck. And the real key to do really well is you create new, fresh content that people haven't seen and stuff that they want to engage with and share and talk about. That's the basic stuff, right, and it's what most people get wrong with their social media marketing, whether it's on x or Instagram, they're looking what other people do and they're posting similar types of content instead of figuring out what can you post that's new, unique and fresh that other people are not talking about. Well, that's how you win. Look my take on it, I'll just keep it simple. I think we're kind of saying the same thing is just do content that you're proud, post content that you're proud to share, and do content that you think is better than other peoples because the standards are getting higher and higher, and that's how you're going to get more reached. And we'll touch upon this in the next couple episodes where we talk about how to win at YouTube in twenty twenty three, because I have some insights to share. But that is it for today's episode. Please don't forget the rate view to subscribe five stars please, and we will catch you tomorrow.
