I'm Eric Sue and I'm Neil Patel, and today we're going to talk about the quickest way to get your first one thousand you Tube subscribers. So I think we should do it two ways, Neil. One is if you happen to have an audience already, and one is if you're starting from scratch. So I'll go with starting from scratch first, just to kick it off. If you focus on starting from scratch, I'll focus on if you already have audience perfect, So on my end, look, if you're starting from scratch, one of the easiest ways to get your first one thousand YouTube subscribers if you can collaborate with somebody. So what happens is I remember one time I did an interview with Chris Doe, who has a pretty decently sized audience, and so we did a YouTube video together. He shared it to his audience and boom, we gained a couple hundred subscribers or so close I think we might have even gotten close to one thousand. So that's how we instantly, Like, just by doing collaborations, we got there. Right, So okay, you might be saying, oh, well, I don't have relationships right now, how am I supposed to do it? Well? George Gamman, who I was talking about, I mean a couple episodes ago, he went from two hundred subscribers to one hundred and sixty five thousand. He actually overtook me by four x in less than a year. And how does he do that? His content it's actually pretty long form. So we're talking twenty to thirty minutes per video. He spends about twelve hours on each one. I'm not saying you need to do that, but I'm just saying the quality of the content and there's a need for it because nobody else explains macroeconomics the way he does. He makes it so easy to understand. If I was like ten years old, I could probably still understand what he's talking about. So think about what are you good at, what's your unique spin on it? So his thing is he's pretty decent at macroeconomics. That's not his specialty, but he knows how to explain things really easily and he combines it and that's his secret sauce and that's what has made him successful with YouTube. Those are my first two cool so I'll keep it really simple. If you already have an audience, one thing that you want to end up doing is telling your audience on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, wherever it may be, to go on YouTube and subscribe to your channel and click the alert notification. They need to click the alert notification or most people won't ever see when you post new videos. The second thing I want you to do is if you have an email list, blast out to everyone to tell him to subscribe to your video or your channel. The third thing I want you to do is the same with your push notification, your messenger list, whatever it may be, right, So this will get you your start. And then every time you post new content, follow the hot script by Sonny. If you just Google or if you just YouTube hot script by Sonny, she'll end up breaking down the ideal video format to get subscribers. Follow that, and then every time you release new videos, make sure you do email blasts, push notification blasts, text message blasts, whatever list you have, and that'll get you more subscribers each and every single time. Plus that'll get you traction with the videos in which they're getting so many views in the first twenty four hours. And the key is to send out those messages right when the video goes live. That actually skyrocks that videos rankings on YouTube, which constantly get you more regular views. And because you follow the hot script by Sonny, you will then know how to convert those watchers into subscribers and will automatically happen. The other thing I'll add from my side is that success leads clues. So maybe for your first video or so you don't have any data. Maybe for your first five you don't have much data. Maybe after you've done fifteen or twenty videos. Look at your YouTube analytics and look at the ones that are actually taking off, the ones that have a better time with watch time, better time with retention. These are your top performers, and you're going to find a theme with it. I can tell you for example on my YouTube channel. I don't know about you and Neil, but whenever I create something around careers and whenever I create something I think around like marketing salaries, those just take off. So I'm like, it's basically telling me I should make more marketing careers or careers type videos to help people grow. For you, what is it for me? It's marketing related content. If I do content outside of marketing, it doesn't do well. Usually it gets crushed. Right, You don't want that to happen. YouTube wants to serve more ads, so they want the content that performs. They don't care about what you want. They care about making more money because they have shareholders to please, right, So look at what I'm not saying. You know, this is necessarily the best way, But look at your analytics and then just make more content like that. You're for sure going to get more subscribers because YouTube is going to favor you. If you're like, what if I don't want to create content like that, well go do a podcast, go write, and you know, maybe you have a little more freedom there, more flexibility. Cool. So that's it.
