So just go to dream host or Google it, find it, check it out, and it's a great way to improve your low time. Welcome to another episode of Marketing School. I'm Eric Sue and I'm Neil Patal, and today we're going to talk about how to make broken link building ten times easier. But first and foremost, let's define what broken link building is. So broken link building. Link building is basically getting someone else to link to your website. Right, broken link building and Neil feel free to add in here. Broken link building is looking for pages that have that are basically four four that maybe people are linking to a page that is no longer working. You're looking for those broken pages, those broken links, and you're looking to reach out to someone like Neil. I might say, hey, Neil, I noticed that you're linking to a page on SEO. That page is actually broken. Now I actually have a better resource on that, would you please link to it. That's a matter of reaching out to him as first finding the broken links, telling him being helpful at least, and then giving him something to make his life easier. That's how you get a broken link that makes it easier to build links. So how do you make broken link building easier? So in the last episode we talked about the h refs content explore the content Explorer. Guess what they actually used to delete things out of their index? They keep it in their index. Now h refs will show you live links and I will show you broken ones. So I actually went. I think I went to Nil's site, or maybe I just typed in content marketing as a keyword. I can see. I think I typed in content marketing, so I can see. Forbes has a piece on content marketing that has one hundred and forty referring domains going to it, and it's now broken. Guess what, that's one hundred and forty links right there. Yeah. Another thing that I do that's worked really well too is this isn't really broken link building, but this is more outdated link building, And internally we view it as the same thing because no one wants to link to anything that's broken, nor do they want to link to anything that's outdated and irrelevant. So we look at content that's like super old, like three four years old, that has a lot of links, and then we go to all those people and be like, hey, no, you're linked to this article. I'm not sure if you realize, but it's really outdated and it discusses X, Y and Z thing that's no longer relevant. We actually have an updated article that will provide your readers or your visitors a better experience. Feel free and switch out the link if you like it. And we found out to be really effective as long as they're covering stuff that's outdated. So if someone's talking about content marketing and generating shares and it's still decent but it's not great, it doesn't work too well. But if someone talks about how to generate more social traffic using Vine, or they're linking to be like, oh and you can use Vine, We'll end up telling them to replace the article with our version of Instagram and how we're talking about generating more traffic using stories on Instagram and they can just swap it out really easy because mine no longer exists. I like that. And by the way, you can do that with this context floor a tool because you can see when a page was published as well, so you can do old Yeah, I have no link building up. Broken link building. That's a new term. By the way, I'm always looking for new link builders. So anybody in there that wants to become a link builder, reach out. You can reach out to Neil or myself either or actually I was talking with a friend yesterday mutual front of ours, especially the people that are coming out of India and Pakistan right now. Especially in my experience too, the link builders have been link builders. There have been exceptional. I don't know about your experience. Yeah, they're good. Yeah, there you go, guys, all right, So anything else you want to add, No, I'm I'm good on my end, all right. So I got another review for you guys today. Before we go, this one comes from Easton.
