Let's start leveling up your marketing knowledge with your instructors, Neil Paatel and Eric Sue. All Right, guys, before we start, we got a special message from our sponsor. If you want to rank higher on Google, you got to look at your page speed time. The faster website loads, the better off you are with Google's Core Vital update. That makes it super super important to optimize your site for low time, and one easy way to do it is use the host that Eric and I use, dream Hosts, So just go to dream host or google it, find it, check it out, and it's a great way to improve your low time. Today we are going to talk about how to get started in Web three, which we believe is the future of marketing. If you haven't listened yet, listen to our last episode where we talked about how Web three will change market being forever to give you a little context. So without further ado, let's begin. Neil, I would say the first way to get started when you're thinking about it from a business or even a marketing standpoint is you go and just learn about web three. There's a lot of conferences I know Eric's been going to I have, and so you can probably tell you a little bit more about that. But there's a lot of blogs out there. You know, tech Crunch covers a little bit of it, but you're actually going to see more on like the coin Desk is of the world, right, So go and check out the blogs like the Coin Desk that start talking about some of this kind of stuff like NFTs and crypto, blockchain and what's happening, because then you'll just be caught up to speed on how it works, what people are doing, and how even governments around the world look at this from a regulation stanway, because it's going to affect it quite a bit when it comes to marketing. I mean Danil's last point on governments looking at this, I mean Al Salvador is doing stuff with this. Miami was just announced yesterday or the day before that they're going to do a bitcoin dividend to its citizens. Right, so come on over to Miami if you want some free bitcoin. I guess what are they doing. They're giving literally citizens free bitcoin. Yeah, so there's cities are creating coins now. So there's a Miami coin coming out where you can basically if you're a citizen, they might give you a dividend, and then it's like if you live somewhere, maybe if you live in the city, maybe they'll give you free parking or whatever. So there's incentives, and there's also incentives for you to hold the token and also do good for the city. Right, So that's one example, one real life example. Coming back to how to get started in Web three, what I would say is listen to the podcast with Chris Dixon and Naval Ravikant on the Tim Ferriss podcast. That's about a two and a half hour podcast, but it's going to be a crash course on how to get into this stuff. Gary Vee and Tom Bill, you have good YouTube videos on how to get started in the world of not just NFTs but crypto as well. I take a look at their projects just to get a sense of how they're doing there. I would go on Twitter because Twitter is kind of where the crypto world, that Web three world hangs out, and I would create some check out some lists. Right there are lists of crypto influencers out there, that you can look at. And I really if you're into bitcoin, take a look at what Anthony Pompoliano is talking about. If you're into kind of NFT stuff. Alex Becker, you know, he's funny with this stuff, but he actually makes some good points, so I think he's a ZSS Becker. And then in terms of podcasts overall podcasts you can listen to, one is one really good one is called Bankless. Bank List also has a doll which is known as a decentralized Autonomous Organization. I just gave you a mouthful, so i'd recommend rewinding this podcast and then writing this stuff down, or you can check the show notes as well. Neil, I'll turn it back to you. I'll have some other stuff as well. The last thing I would do is start getting involved. So when you're seeing these NFTs or crypto coins or whatever, forget from an investment standpoint, actually just try buying an NFT. Going through that experience will help you understand how some of this stuff actually works. And I'm not saying go and do this for investment standpoint or you're going to make money or anything like that. And I'm not even telling you to spend a lot, but you can actually get started with literally a few dollars, and a few dollars will help you experience how some of these things work, which will give you a much better understanding of where it's going and how you can and you use it in your marketing. Yeap. Final points from my side is getting involved in the community. So I talked about Twitter already. Check out Twitter spaces, right, that's third dropping audio. Going to discord cords another one, going to engage with so join a bunch of discords right to Neil's point, So there are if you're into an NFT project, there's a couple of good discords out there. Right. There's board Ape Yacht Club. There's Cybercongs that's another one. There's World of Women. Right. There's a bunch of other ones that you can join, and I mean, I'm in so many of them and I learned so much. Right, I'm in different WhatsApp groups too. Go to events that are out there. I just came back from NFT dot and y say, went straight into our event. But that was worth it's weight in gold or I guess in bitcoin. But there's a lot of different things that you can do here. What you have to do is get involved. To Neil's point, I think the most important one is probably just building the scar tissue. Building the experience, right, Like if you spend you know, a couple of dollars maybe fifty dollars, one hundred dollars on NFTY and you lose your shirt, at least it's a learning experience and you know what to do next. Because no matter what we say to you here, or what you listen to or what you read, nothing's going to be experience at the end of the day. And what we're teaching you on this podcast right now, we're really like three year olds, right or four year olds, and we're teaching maybe like two year olds or one year olds. Right. We're not that far ahead. This space is so new right now, and I do believe it's a rocket ship, right. Neil's pretty involved in the space. I'm involved in the space as well. So we're super excited for this. That's it for today, Go to marketing School, the ioslash Live. That'sliv We're gonna be talking about a lot more of this stuff at our live events. Next one is going to happen in four months or so, and we're probably gonna make up. We're gonna do something special related to Web three for this event. So that's it for today and we'll catch you later. We appreciate you joining us for this session of Marketing School.
