So just go to dream host or Google it, find it, check it out, and it's a great way to improve your low time. Welcome to another episode of Marketing School. I'm Eric Sue and I'm Neil Batel, and today we're going to talk about a simple hap to generate more just without spending on ads. So the simple hack this works especially well if you guys have employees or other team members, get them to promote your stuff social media. As you guys all know with their algorithm, the more people that engage early on the better off you are. So when you post stuff on Twitter, have your team retweet it, share it, comment, engage. When you share stuff on Facebook, have them engage. When they do this, they'll become quote unquote superfans. When you post stuff on LinkedIn, have your team members like, share, comment, That's what we do, and it's a great way to just make your content go more and more viral. And the bigger here company, the easier it is to just get more virality out of it. Yeah. I mean, we have a mutual friend who you know, he actually doesn't have like a really big following or whatever on LinkedIn, and you know, he would text me and say, hey, can you like this right on LinkedIn? Can you like this? Can you upvote it? And then he just kept doing it. And I'm sure he's doing it with his other friends too, and probably with you know, his his team. And I looked at the posts, I'm like, men, this has five hundred likes, This has like ten twenty thousand views or so. It's like he's onto something right, And this tactic, I mean, we used to do this a long time ago with you know, some of these up voting sites around marketing these communities where you can upvote you know, the best topics, and we would basically have our team log off the Wi Fi and then they just you know, stay on, stay on like their mobile carrier, and then they would just up vote right, and then all these votes would kick in, the engagement would go up, and then the post would show up more. You're basically doing the same thing with Facebook. You can do the same thing with LinkedIn. Basically what you're doing is you're not having to pay for the additional views. You're earning the views. Yeah, and if you don't have a big team, or you don't have an office, or you have no employees at all, you could just go and network with other people online on Slack groups whatever it may be, or Facebook groups, connect with them, vote on their stuff, and ask them to vote on yours. It's really simple. People will usually say yes if you're helping them out. It won't always be where if you vote on one of there's a vote on one of yours. The system won't be perfect, but that's okay. When you do this in mass quantity, you'll find that your numbers will just skyrocket. When it comes to LinkedIn or Facebook or any of the main social sites out there, so I would use it for all of them, from Pinterest, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and just do it in mass quantity and build up a group or you know, even easier if you have a lot of team members working for you, ask them to share your content and comment and reply and do all the basic stuff. Yeah, and once you start doing this, don't just give up. I mean, once you start to see signal, don't don't just say Okay, I'm gonna stop doing it, right, because what happens is you start to test a lot of different tactics on this podcast, and then it's really easy to want to continue to test the new tactics. Right. So what we did this recently with with my LinkedIn and we had a couple of people from the team, you know, upvote it or like it, and then the post got a lot more engagement than it typically would. We're talking, you know, a couple thousand views, and then you know there's there's like five times as many likes or so then that I would typically get. And I don't really engage on LinkedIn. I mean, therough messages, I engage a lot, but I don't really engage with posts that much. But just by doing that, It's like, oh wow, okay, that's interesting. And I looked at somebody else's Facebook, their Facebook group, and they said this. You know, you see people sharing templates all the time, right, we're sharing. Oh you can download this pdf whatever it is exactly, just leave a comment below and you know, we'll get it over to you something like that. And I was looking at this guy's post. I was like, man, this guy's got five hundred likes and then there's like six hundred comments or so. I'm like, man, that's just I mean, these algorithms, these social platforms are all about engagement. So the question is how do you get more engagement? And you know, using your friends, using people on your team, you can get your engagement up. Yeah, it works well. I remember when Mark Suster started blogging years and years ago. I think both sides of the table dot com it's a good blog. I remember he's a message me and my other co founder, Heathan, and he would be like, hey, can you tweet this out? And he was nice and we always did it, you know, like him as an individual, and he even said like, hey, I can reciprocate, let me know. And I didn't care to ask him for it, but I was like, it was a smart strategy, And I really do believe that was one of the tactics, not the only one, but one that helped put Mark on the spot because he was doing so well on the social sites from Twitter to LinkedIn to Facebook, and he was just asking people for the shares and the engagement and there's nothing wrong with that. And of course, you know, Mark's done well for many other reasons, from being a good investor to entrepreneur, and the list keeps going on and on, but that was one strategy that he used early on that really helped boost his traffic and engagement on his own blog. Yeah, I used to ask you to tweet my stuff all the time. Yeah did I? Yeah, you did exact anyway. So that is it for today. But before we go, we need your help getting to one million downloads per month so we can throw that live event in downtown LA so we can see you in person, give you a hug, maybe if Neil's feeling nice, you'll give you a kiss on the cheek.
