Welcome to Marketing School, the only podcast that provides daily top level marketing tips and strategies from entrepreneurs that practice what they preach and live what they teach. Let's start leveling up your marketing knowledge with your instructors, Neil Patel and Eric Sue. All Right, guys, before we start, we got a special message from our sponsor. If you want to rank higher on Google, you gotta look at your page speed time. The faster website loads, the better off you are with Google's Core Vital update. That makes it super super important to optimize your site for low time. And one easy way to do it is use the host that Eric and I use, dream Hosts, So just go to dream host or Google it, find it, check it out, and it's a great way to improve your low time. They were going to talk about three simple tricks to get more blog traffic. So there's a lot of ways that you can get more blog traffic that are not just from methods like SEO and creating tons of content that people aren't doing. And you don't have to be technical, and I'll start it off with the trick. Some of these things are really dead simple and if you just did them every time you created content, you'll find that your traffic really will skyrocket six months from now. So the first one I have for you is, every time you write a blog post, you'll notice that you naturally link out to people. When you naturally link out to people, you should email them like saying like, hey, Eric, just want to say a huge fan of your work so much so I linked out to you my latest blog posts. Feel free and check it out here. If you like it, feel free and share it on your favorite social network. Cheers Neil. Ps. If you really did share it on one of your favorite social network, it wouldn't just make my day, it would make my year. Yep. And kind of reverse to that. If you have a blog that's getting decent traffic already, you can set up alert system. I don't know if you have it as an uber suggest, but in h reps, what you can do is you can set an alert if people mention you or if people link to you, right, and that's a good scenario for you to reach out not just for a link, but reach out to see how you guys can collab long term and to actually build some type of partnership, because a relationship actually goes a lot further than a link, and then from there maybe they'll introduce you to other people. I mean, first case, you know, with a collab, you get a link, right, But if you just ask for the link, that's all you get. So ask for collaboration and seek to build a relationship, and you're going to get more blog traffic long term because it's going to compound. Yep. And number three, I like looking on Twitter, So go to Twitter search type in any competitor url. You'll see some of their most popular content pieces and who's sharing them. And what you want to do is start creating a list of who's sharing your competitors content and message them. You can use one hunter dial to find people's email address, and I'd be like, hey, Eric, I noticed you share this article on the Beginner's Guide to SEO. I actually have an article on the Advanced Guide to SEO. If you like it, we'll love if you also tweet it out. Cheers Neil. Ps. If I can never share anything for you, let me know love to share it as well. And what you'll find is by Jess asking people who share content relate to your space to share your posts, you actually get a lot of those people to share it in a superre numbers game, and when you do this, you'll start building a massive social following over time of people who are super engaged. It may not be like a million followers even one hundred thousand, you'll get thousands and thousands of followers, and the ones who do follow you will be super engaged because they like content related to your industry. Twitter search is one of the most underrated features out there because I can just type in Neil's names, so I think it's user call in Neil Patel, and I can type in min underscore faves, right, and I can type in five hundred. So basically, I'm saying, search for all tweets that have gotten over five hundred likes on it from a Neo Patel, right, and then that can show the content that's really performed well and that I can try to align with him. Right. You can use this when you're interviewing people. This is kind of like a separate thing, but I'm just saying, look into how to do advanced Twitter search, and you're going to have an advantage over other people. So that is it for today.
