STORY 1: Marietta Man Accused of Battery, Strangulation and Kidnapping
Cyphus Townsend, 29, of Marietta, is accused of battery, strangling, and kidnapping a woman. On April 28, Townsend allegedly punched the victim multiple times, broke her eyeglasses, and slammed her head into the floor. He attempted to strangle her and threatened further violence if she didn't get into his vehicle. Townsend then drove her around for 81 minutes, refusing to let her leave. He was arrested on April 29 and faces charges of kidnapping, aggravated assault, criminal trespass, and battery. Townsend remains in custody without bond.
STORY 2: Kennesaw 17-year-old Accused of Firing Shots at Occupied Home
Jazsper Jordan, a 17-year-old from Kennesaw, is accused of firing shots at an occupied house on April 29. The house, with three adults and two children inside, was struck, causing damage to the carport and the laundry room wall. Jordan faces five counts of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during a crime. Arrested on May 2, he remains in custody without bond and is held by the Department of Juvenile Justice.
STORY 3: Marietta Woman Accused of Using Stun Gun on Autistic Teen
Janet Fain Bracey, 69, of Marietta, is accused of using stun guns on a severely autistic 17-year-old. On April 23, Bracey allegedly used two stun guns on the teen's abdomen. Forensic interviews revealed she used multiple stun devices on the teen when he misbehaved. A search of her home confirmed the presence of these devices. Bracey faces charges of first-degree and third-degree cruelty to children. She was arrested on April 24 and remains in custody without bond.

STORY 4: Smyrna Man Accused of Putting Hidden Cameras in Bathroom
Christopher Patrick Tevebaugh, 35, of Smyrna, is accused of secretly recording a victim while she showered using three hidden cameras on April 22. The cameras were concealed in a clock and towel hooks in the victim’s bathroom. Tevebaugh inadvertently shared one of the shower videos to a Google share drive accessible by both parties. He faces two counts of eavesdropping-surveillance. Arrested on April 23, he is held in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center without bond.
STORY 5: Upper Deck Golf to Tee Off at Truist Park
The Atlanta Braves announced the Upper Deck Golf event at Truist Park from November 21-23. Fans can play golf rounds throughout the stadium, aiming for custom greens on the field while enjoying music, drinks, food, and various golf challenges. Registration for tee times opens on August 8, with early access available now and a presale for A-List Members on July 30.
