Ganesh Vasudev Joshi, also known as Sarvajanik Kaka, was a prominent social personality from 19th-century Maharashtra. Sarvajanik Kaka began the Swadeshi movement before Mahatma Gandhi and continued to wear khadi until his death. He also encouraged his wife, Saraswatibai, to establish a social organization dedicated to women's empowerment and the fight against caste discrimination.
