Maestro on the Mic between 10.00a.m. and midday, the highest rating program bursting and blasting its way out of Upweywaywaywayway…Saturday 15 August, 2026 with plenty of good Australian music.  17 of the 18 tracks were Australian. 

 We said goodbye to Johnny Young who died of pancreatic cancer on Friday and will be greatly missed. He contributed much to music and encouraged many up and coming artists, wrote many great songs including The Real Thing.  We also played tracks by Xani Kolac and Kate Miller-Heidke as they are touring the country including at Healesville’s Memo Theatre.

Today we spoke to Les Thomas about his tour of England and making a noise there.  His forthcoming album release and show in Norfcote. 

But before all this we spoke to Upwey CFA member Keiran who talked about the book sale at Upwey.  It was more about cds, dvds and books.  So hopefully they made a lot of money to help with CFA projects.

We interviewed Les Thomas fresh from England where he had a successful tour promoting his new album I Remember Everything.  The idea behind the title and his album launch at Northcote Social Club on Sunday 20 September.  You can buy the album through his website and Bandcamp.  We will be talking to Les again about the actual album.
