MAESTRO ON THE MIC….

Check out Maestro On The Mic every Saturday between 9.00 a.m. and 11.00 a.m.

Today we focussed on  playing a variety of good, mostly Australian, music. A mix of new, old and somewhere in the middle.

We had interviews with Karin Keays about her book IT’S BECAUSE I LOVE YOU which focusses on her life with music legend Jim Keays and the tragedy they faced with the birth of their son, and their dealing with the medical profession.

The death of their child.  Then the challenge of navigating the medical system to get answers.  Copies can be obtained through www.karinkeays.com

For those who are not familiar with Jim Keays, he was a founding member of  The Masters Apprentices, a power house band in the late 1960s and early 1970s.   Karin spoke of a US President (can you guess?) trying to claim their name in recent years.  Of Jim writing the lyrics for the Brisbane Lions and Melbourne Victory club songs. And more!
