We interviewed Karin (pronounced Carr-in)  Keays who spoke about her book ITS BECAUSE I LOVE YOU which covers her 25 year marriage with Jim Keays and a challenge no parent ever wants to confront. The death of their child.  Then the challenge of navigating the medical system to get answers.  Copies can be obtained through www.karinkeays.com . 

For those who are not familiar with Jim Keays, he was a founding member of  The Masters Apprentices, a power house band in the late 1960s and early 1970s.   Karin spoke of a US President (can you guess?) trying to claim their name in recent years.  Of Jim writing the lyrics for the Brisbane Lions and Melbourne Victory club songs. And more!

We interviewed Jen Mize who found true love in Australia and a life of touring and working on cruise ships.  And of course the tracks released recently as a teaser for TILT  the new album by Jen Mize and the Rough ‘N’ Tumble.  We hope to speak to her again in a bit more detail when the album is released in a few months time.

Freo from Mast Gully Fellers  came into the studio and talked to us  about the new singles the band is in the process of releasing. The first is Poor Ned which is an oldie but goldie giving the perspective of Ned Kelly from his point of view.  Then No Escaping which is told from the perspective of the family of the police murdered by Ned Kelly and his gang at Stringybark Creek.   More exciting news is a new album is on the way and we can’t wait for it.
