Hi! While we’ve been on hiatus, Mae decided to go back to her older Maed in India episodes, particularly the ones where bands have either disbanded, or are on an indefinite hiatus. It got her thinking – “Where Did They Go?” And so, to ease back in from our hiatus, we’re showcasing Maed in India episodes from way back when that featured bands that are basically nonexistent. To kick things off, we have the 4-piece alternative pop rock band Calico, when they made their Maed in India debut on Episode 142 of the show in November 2018. Till date, they have no album or EP (only a couple of singles) but you get the chance to hear some piping hot tunes from their studio session.

Started in 2015, music nerd and ex-radio presenter Mae Mariyam Thomas showcases the best talent coming out of South Asia and its diaspora. 

The show is India’s first indie music podcast and prides itself on being the premier destination for new music, little known stories that give you a peek into the lives of independent musicians, as well as being an ongoing archive of unreleased music never heard before.
