As the story unfolds, each character embarks on a soul-stirring journey of introspection, grappling with their truths and confronting the complexities of the criminal justice system. Through monologues that resonate with raw authenticity, these incarcerated men unearth the liberating power of self-expression, igniting a path toward personal evolution, reconciliation and redemption.

Against the backdrop of the county jail environment, "The Kernel of Truth" delves into its characters' innermost thoughts and struggles as they navigate the realms of remorse, resilience and hope. Through their compelling monologues, the inmates delve into their past choices, confront the repercussions of their actions and confront societal perceptions of justice and forgiveness. It's the return of parks and open streets at Ride The Drive 2024, presented by Madison Parks.  

What is Ride The Drive?

It’s thousands of happy healthy people coming together to experience parks and open streets in a single, one-day, free, community event. Since the inaugural Ride the Drive in 2009, this event continues to celebrate Madison’s commitment to a healthy, active lifestyle focusing on the environmental and economic impacts and the importance of social integration. Ride the Drive, organized by the City of Madison Parks Division, is more than 4 miles of city streets closed to motor vehicles and park hubs along the way offering activities, food and fun for all ages. 

How Can You Participate? 

Be a Volunteer
We invite volunteers to help with various roles, including setup, intersection guides, cleanup, and staffing booths. Each volunteer will receive a 2024 Ride the Drive t-shirt.
