In a world that can feel divisive and bleak, it's easy to get caught up in feelings of hopelessness, but the beautiful, glorious, truth is this: LOVE NEVER FAILS. In the 40 years I’ve been on the airwaves, I’ve implored my listeners to LOVE SOMEONE; Family, friends, neighbors, community, the Lord, and themselves. I’m talking to guests with names you may know, and those you may not. They all have stories meant to inspire you! New episodes drop the 2nd & 4th Tuesday of each month!

I've been sharing fun summer reads on my Delilah Book Club page, one of them titled, "Every Beat After," by Sara B. Larson. It's a super sweet love story, playing out in a little bakery in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Liv is a heart transplant survivor, living in the fragile space between gratitude and fear. Running her family's cozy -but financially struggling- bakery gives her purpose. Hunter's a guarded, cynical, marketing expert who steps in with a plan to save the bakery... When all kinds of sparks fly!

This is Sara's adult novel debut and she's pretty excited about it. She joins us today to talk about where her inspiration for the book came from, how she juggles writing, parenting, and running a commercial preschool, and so much more. Drop on in!

Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington, D.C., has written several books exploring courage, turning points, and faith. These books, for adults, younger readers, and now, children, focus on how ordinary people learn to be brave through choices they make every day.

Her new children's picture book is rooted in a simple idea; Bravery isn't something we're born with, it's something we practice. Through everyday moments that may seem small to adults but feel big to children, "I Can Learn to Be Brave" encourages young readers to discover courage one step at a time.

What an inspiring conversation this is, with an insightful (and delightful) guest! Join us!
