By Newsbreak Producer, Matthew Veeran - On World Malaria Day today, it's shocking to know that globally a child is still dying every 60 seconds from the mosquito-borne infection. The mosquito-borne infection costs Africa around $12 billion every year. South Africa meanwhile, had more than 7,800 malaria cases last year. Although community transmission is low, an outbreak could put nearly five million people in KZN, Limpopo and Mpumalanga at risk of getting the disease. "Goodbye Malaria" is a group that has fought the disease in Mozambique, South Africa and Eswatini for over a decade. CEO Sherwin Charles says while strides continue to be made, unfortunately the world is not winning the war against this disease...
