South Africans say their tired of being subjected to unfavourable conditions on local roads. Whether it's pothole or lack of road markings- it's not easy getting from A to B currently. This has largely been attributed to to mass road infrastructure development and in some cases, neglect. We ask- can it all be better managed?

By Newsbreak Producer Tashlan Naidoo - Ahmed Kathrada Foundation has welcomed the resignation of Kabelo Gwamanda saying that he failed the City of Johannesburg. The foundation is one of the convening organisations of the Jo'burg Crisis Alliance (JCA) together with the Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse (OUTA) and Rivonia Circle. The Alliance has in the recent past called for Gwamanda to vacate office following scores of complaints by residents about service delivery and other issues such as widespread electricity outages, tariff increases and a lack of public inclusion. Executive Director of the Foundation, Neeshan Balton is hopeful that people centric Mayor will be elected to take the city forward....

By Newsbreak Producer Matthew Veeran - The South African Medical Technology Industry Association (SAMED) this month begun tracking and measuring the performance and practices related to women's inclusion, diversity and empowerment within the medtech industry. Out of 154 member companies, 40 have already pledged their participation in what's known as the "SAMED Women Empowerment Index". The intention is to have all SAMED members participate as well as encourage non-member medtech organisations to join the industry's drive for gender equality. Tracy Moonsamy of Beier Drawtex Healthcare says this greater focus on women's inclusion will create a greater sense of belonging...
