This as the Gauteng Community Safety Department holds a men-led march against gender-based violence which it hopes will start to shift the burden of prevention from survivors to perpetrators and bystanders of abuse. It is part of the United Nations campaign to raise awareness on gender-based violence which takes place on the 25th of every month. SABC reporter, Neria Hlakotsa is there and brings us an update....

The Nelson Mandela Community Youth Centre together with the South African Depression and Anxiety Group (SADAG) are calling on the young and old to come together this weekend for a mental health support group aimed at confronting the crisis. The initiative will create a space for people to speak openly about their struggles, without fear of judgement. SADAG Facilitator, Aimee Naidoo says breaking the silence and encouraging people to seek help could save lives....
