By Newsbreak Producer Tashlan Naidoo - Bulk water provider, uMngeni-uThukela Water says despite elevated levels of an organic compound found caused by algae build up in water at its Wiggins Water Treatment Works, which is supplied by the Inanda Dam, it is still safe for consumption. A has rigorous algaecide treatment plan has commenced, as uMngeni-uThukela Water has strengthened its treatment operations, including more frequent water filtration and enhancing monitoring.
