That's according to the Clinical Director of the Teddy Bear Foundation, Shaheda Omar. She was reacting to several cases that have made headlines this week in which rapists have been sentenced to life imprisonment. The National Prosecuting Authority in KwaZulu-Natal revealed that a 41-year-old father was sentenced to life imprisonment for raping his four children in Hluhluwe, while a 49-year-old man received the same fate for raping a 41-year-old woman in Hluhluwe. In a separate incident, the NPA confirmed that a 42-year-old man received two life terms by the Zwelitsha Regional Court for the rape and murder of a pregnant woman. Omar says rape is a heinous crime and life imprisonment is a deserved sentence for perpetrators...
