Speculation is rife that the dismissed MK Party Secretary General, Floyd Shivambu, could jump ship to form his own political party. This follows his unceremonious removal for the party's top job and the subsequent remarks by party leader, Jacob Zuma, that if Shivambu wants to leave, he can do so. Shivambu is the seventh MK Party Secretary General to leave the job since the party's formation in almost 18 months. After weeks with his future hanging in the balance in the MKP, Shivambu is set to reveal his next course action at a media briefing on Thursday.
